Looking into the future

"It is always wise to look ahead, but difficult to look further than you can see."
"The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you can see."

Winston Churchill

I always think about my future, what will be, what can happen.

It scares me and make me reflect, I don't know what will happen in 5, 10, 20 years, but nobody knows.

It's life, live the moment :)

Changing points

The year is about to finish, little bit more then one month and then will fall the curtain even on 2010.

Talking about it, did you like it? Was there something special that will make you remind this year forever? Something that, maybe, changed your life?

About me, just the fact of coming here in London and start a new adventure from zero, was something big, something that I will remember forever.

There are moments in all our lives that are, as I call them, changing points. Thanks to them, something good or bad happens and makes you change, grow, become different.

In my life, till now, I think that I had two big changing points. And one of them was definitely coming here.

The other one was when I was younger, when I move from Rome to New York for two years. It was a big change even that time. Again starting from zero, but that time my family was there with me.

Two big change that made me meet new people, different cultures and grow up. At the very end I think it’s the best way to face the world, the real world. The one that in every single moment can destroy or revive you.

The world of magic

The world of magic is something that is always been extremely attractive. Magic, illusion, mentalism, mind reading and everything that surrounds it had always push people to find or try to understand how was it possible.

To try to catch just a little part of it, I tried to discover some of is secrets talking to a friend of mine, Lukas, that came this week and who practice this as a job.

When you started to be interested in magic?

Six years ago, when I was 17, a friend of mine made an object in front of me disappear. I was so amaized when I saw it that I asked myself, “the art is something that he has inside or something very hard to understand and that you can learn just with a lot of exercise?”. The answere is that today I am an illusionist that works all around the world and every day I thank myself that I asked that question.

What is magic?

Magic is a sense of alteration of the normal world. It’s like if someone does a package of what we believe and then he made this package appear and disappear as many times he wants.

Whats appeals you most on your job?

The eyes of those on the other hand, it’s something unexplaniable the way someone watch you after he or she had seen a simple effect in front of them, as a disappearance of a coin or a card.

Did something weird ever happened?

A lot of times. Believeing that what I was doing was under my control when maybe for distraction or “real magic” I was also incredulous seeing that what I wanted to do was knot possible anymore. Something strange is that even despite my anonymity and my look, very casual, a lot of people stop me telling me : “You are a magician”. Now my answere is that probably I am not the only one.

Do you think it can be called a real work?

I think that magic is not a work but is that special sensation that a magician must be able to give to his own audience.

Would you recommand it as work?

No I won’t, for three reasons. First of all because leads others to appreciate you more for what you do that for what you are. Then because there is so much study and preparation that brings magician isolate in “sociaty of magician”. And last reason because the fascination lies more in the minds of those who do not know.

Next world hit??? Probably :)

I do it a lot of time, it's probably something that I feel and it's probably because I like to do it and make previsions about music.

This months prevision is about what I think it will be the next dance hit for the next 3-4 months. I am talking about the song that we will ear and ear so many times that even if we love it at the end we will hate it.

I think that the winner for this month is the new song of Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Disrty Beat). Just came out a week ago, it will probably go at number one of all the dance chart around the globe in about two months or less.

A cover of a famous soundtrack, that it turns to be very clubbing when the base starts. Very romantic for girls in the beginning and catchy for boys in the middle.

Obviously talking about Black Eyed Peas means, most of the time, talking about a hit. We will see this time, even if I am quite sure it will be.

Here is the song for who's interested :  Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Dirty Bit)

MEGA PARADE CHART - 15/11/10

Two new entries and no change at the top position in this week chart.

The first new entry is in the bottom of the chart and will probably rise during next week, the other one instead is almost in the top 10 and I think it would not have a lot of problems to enter the top 5 during next weeks.

Big names, lastly, are starting their decline after months and months in which we heard their songs.

Here is this weeks chart, just click on the song if you want to listen to it :
